
Carter Bryan is a pianist based in New York City. Originally from Guilford, Connecticut, Carter grew up playing a wide variety of music ranging from classical music to jazz and fusion. He currently studies jazz piano performance at Manhattan School of Music.Over the past several years, Carter has shared the stage and/or recorded with artists including Sean Jones, Alicia Olatuja, Jonathan Barber, Yussef Dayes, Venna, Jaylen Petinaud, Jason Marshall, Valery Ponomarev, Wayne Escoffery, and Linda Sikhakhane. Carter played and toured with NYO Jazz (Carnegie Hall's National Youth Jazz Orchestra), and was a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra. He was a national YoungArts winner in both 2024 and 2025 in the Jazz category, and played with the NAfME All-National Jazz ensemble in 2023.Carter has performed at Carnegie Hall (Stern Auditorium and Weill Recital Hall), Irving Plaza, Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Hall, Dizzy’s Club, The Appel Room, SummerStage in Central Park, The Blue Note, Mercury Lounge, Artscape Theatre Centre, The Market Theatre, and The Playhouse Company.

Carter Bryan was born on July 5th, 2006 in New Haven, Connecticut.

Carter Bryan's debut album of solo piano works “METAMORPHOSES” was released on April 4th, 2025. Carter describes this music as a fusion of musical genres with hints of impressionist classical music, jazz, and pop, leaving the listener with a timeless instrumental soundtrack.
